About me
I’m Oscar Landa, a Chicago-based full-stack developer focused on useful, maintainable Laravel applications.
My background
I’m primarily self-taught, with several years of practical experience building and maintaining real applications. That path taught me to be resourceful, to understand why a system works—not only how—and to stay comfortable learning as requirements change.
My strongest work sits at the intersection of application logic and usability. I enjoy modeling data, building dependable backend features, and shaping responsive interfaces that make the underlying complexity feel manageable.
I care about clear organization, maintainability, performance, and taking responsibility across both frontend and backend work. I also enjoy improving established systems; thoughtful iteration is often as valuable as starting from a blank page.
Outside development, I enjoy boxing, basketball, long walks, gardening, and spending time with my Doberman, Groot.
Technical toolkit
No arbitrary percentages—just technologies I use to solve application problems.
How I work
Good implementation begins with the users, data, constraints, and real workflow.
Clear structures make future features and maintenance less painful.
Technical depth matters most when the resulting interface is clear and responsive.
